Fiber Innovation that Protects and Performs
Our technical leadership in fiber engineering and production is on full display as we introduce two NEW fiber platforms that simultaneously deliver high-performance, lower-cost, and higher-comfort.
Introducing a new generation of specialty fibers engineered to elevate performance across the most demanding textile applications. Our latest innovations, Enduratek™ high‑tenacity fiber and Statitek™ antistatic fiber - deliver advanced solutions for durability, protection, and electrostatic control. Designed for manufacturers who require uncompromising reliability, these US‑made technologies offer exceptional versatility, blend compatibility, and long‑term performance. Whether enhancing strength in rugged workwear or ensuring static‑safe environments in sensitive industries, our fibers are built to meet your unique challenges with precision and consistency.
Advanced Technology for Unmatched Toughness
Introducing Enduratek™, a breakthrough high-tenacity, low denier per filament (DPF) staple fiber made from mono-component Nylon 6,6. This advanced fiber platform delivers exceptional performance for demanding applications where durability and reliability are paramount. Engineered with superior strength and abrasion resistance, this fiber enables manufacturers to create lighter-weight fabrics without compromising protection or longevity. The result is greater comfort for end users while maintaining the robust performance required in challenging environments. Ideal for workwear, military uniforms, firefighter apparel, and industrial fabrics, this versatile fiber can be used at 100% concentration or blended seamlessly with cotton and flame retardant fibers to optimize specific performance characteristics. Our USA production provides customers with critical sourcing flexibility, cost advantages, and a strategic positioning advantage for US and NATO military procurement requirements.
Engineered Structure for Reliable Electrostatic Control
Statitek™ is a bicomponent antistatic fiber engineered for sophisticated, long‑lasting electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. It serves a wide range of industries and applications. The fiber is available in both filament and staple forms. Multiple chemistries are used to produce this versatile fiber, which addresses critical safety and performance challenges caused by static electricity buildup. Statitek™ is used in three key areas: personal safety protection for workers facing static discharge health risks, equipment damage prevention in settings with sensitive electronics or explosive materials, and nuisance reduction in consumer products such as carpets and fabrics.
Statitek™ is highly effective even at minimal inclusion rates—typically 3% or less in a fiber blend. It provides a cost-efficient solution without compromising fabric properties. Its bicomponent structure ensures consistent antistatic performance throughout the fabric's life. Broad polymer compatibility gives manufacturers maximum formulation flexibility. This US-made fiber delivers reliable, durable ESD protection, from safeguarding workers in hazardous environments to eliminating everyday static cling.
Why FITFIT makes specialty fibers for the toughest textile and nonwoven applications. From our facility in Johnson City, Tennessee, we run both a world‑scale production line and a semi‑works environment where we develop, refine, and scale new fiber technologies.
